the Gift that Lasts a Lifetime
Acoustic Guitar lessons... beginner to intermediate levels. You will learn sight reading, music theory, finger-picking & finger styles, combining rhythms with melodies, and much, much more!
Hello, my name is Aaron and I've been plucking strings for over 40 years. My skills have now matured and I am now willing to share my knowledge with a small group of students. After learning the core fundamental concepts from me, you will be able to branch out into any style you may choose. And if it's the electric guitar that interests you, learn on the acoustic guitar first! ...it will make you a much better player. I'm only a phone call away...
and the first lesson is free!

You can learn to play a song and that's fine for today. But if you learn the fundamentals of music, you will be able to create your own music for a lifetime ~ and that's where the real magic is!
Books that I use to begin teaching:
Hal Leonard Guitar Method Book 1
Hal Leonard Guitar Method Book 2
Hal Leonard Guitar Method Book 3
Hal Leonard Guitar Method Books 1-3 (all in one)
Hal Leonard Classical Guitar Method Book 1
Hal Leonard Classical Guitar Method Book 2

(Free-style lessons may continue after these books are completed.)
Suggestions for a Child's Size Entry Level Guitar:
Classical Guitar with soft, nylon strings, 1/2 size
Guitar with steel strings, slightly smaller than a standard guitar
Parents: Please do not buy a toy guitar for your child to learn on. To learn real music, they need a real instrument. Choose a guitar with a solid wood top at the very least. I will be more than happy to help you pick out an instrument that they can really learn on. Please, just ask me and I will help you.
For very serious players, here are some very high end instrument choices:
(These are expensive, but very high quality & highly recommended)
Collings,
Santa Cruz,
Bourgeois,
Larivee,
Huss & Dalton,
Martin
